The
Thurrock
Group
A very
friendly
Group

The Thurrock Marquetry Group.

Established in 1987 from a small but enthusiastic band of aspiring marquetarians, it has since grown to become the extremely successful group that we now see today. Of the original 10 members, 2 are still active within the group encouraging others in this fascinating and satisfying craft.

The group now has 32 members and their numbers are growing steadily.

The group meets every Tuesday evening from 7 - 9pm at the Tilbury Community Association.

The Thurrock group hosted the 2006 National Exhibition at their home premises - and taking the1997 hosting of the National Exhibition as a yard stick from which to judge the event, it turned out to be a very successful Exhibition!.
