We are a friendly group who meet every Friday evening except Christmas and Good Friday, between 7.30pm and 10.00pm  in the Hatch End Free Church, Rowlands Avenue, Hatch End, Pinner, Middlesex, HA5 4DF.

The Church is a modern low profile building on the corner of Rowland's Avenue and Uxbridge Road. It is about 5 minutes walk from the Harrow Arts Centre and Hatch End Station. There is also good car parking outside.

We meet throughout the year, except for the month of August.

As well as working evenings, we also have visiting speakers, member’s talks and regular practical demonstrations for the benefit of membership.

Throughout the year, we attend various art and craft exhibitions in the area to display our work and to promote marquetry and our group.

Visitors are most welcome.

For those who enjoy it, teaching for beginners is started on a one to one basis. Instruction is provided by practical example and on an informal basis to best suit your progress.

Regular competitions are held in a range of progressive classes and awards are presented during social evenings.

Brian Freestone talks to the group about judging

Marquetry is a cheap, satisfying and very portable hobby which takes up little space. It is easy to take your work home after a meeting to continue with what you were doing or to try the new thing you just learnt. You can then bring it back next week and amaze your friends or discuss new ideas.

We have a very good selection of wood veneers and other materials - in fact most of the requisites needed for marquetry, which are available during meetings at very reasonable prices.
